WNY Book Arts Center Announces Michael Bosworth As Executive Director

Michael Bosworth, a Department of Art 1994 alumnus with a BFA,  as well as a BA in English, has joined the Western New York Book Arts Center, as its new leader.

Born just down the road from Book Arts at Buffalo General, Michael Bosworth is an artist and educator who has long been engaged with the culture of Western New York. Bosworth received a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in English from the University at Buffalo, and an MFA in Photography from the University of New Mexico. His artistic practice involves photography, multimedia, sculpture, and site-specific installations.

“After an exhaustive search, meticulously reviewing 40 applicants, including a handful of exceptional local and national talent, the Book Arts Board is proud to announce the selection of Michael Bosworth as the new Book Arts Executive Director! This decision was not taken lightly, and we are confident that Michael's qualifications and expertise make him the perfect fit for this role. Michael is an accomplished and highly regarded artist and educator who has applied his expertise to many cultural arts organizations. After teaching as Professor of Fine Arts and Photography for the past 25 years, he is excited to begin working with an arts organization that is so highly regarded by its community, unique in its programming and mission, and well-functioning due to the hard work and expertise of its staff, volunteers, and artists.
