Amid/In WNY 2022 at Hallwalls

From January 2015 through January 2017, Hallwalls' curatorial team visited over 200 artists' studios throughout the region of Western New York, resulting in a series of seven group exhibitions across all media, featuring the work of 75 artists. With no over-arching theme apart from the most interesting work encountered in the moment.

As is not uncommon when dealing with varieties of work, connections between seemingly disparate things emerged and eloquent meanings revealed. While never intended as an all-encompassing omnibus of the the region's artists, Amid/In nonetheless cut a unique swath across the artwork of the moment.
