How to apply

Step 1: Review the application requirements

To apply for our graduate program, you’ll need:

  • Completed online application
  • Electronic transcripts
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Resume/CV
    Highlight your educational background, additional training and lived experiences most relevant to the Arts Management MA program. Include completed degrees, academic mentors, related courses, analytical skills and research projects.
  • Statement of purpose
    Your statement of purpose is a more formal essay about what you want to do with your degree and showcases:
    • Your academic and professional strengths and background
    • Significant accomplishments
    • Your motivation to pursue graduate study/career goals
    • Research interests
    • Why this program is a good fit for you
    • The reason you're selecting UB
    • What sets you apart from the rest of the applicants
Non-refundable application fee: $75

After you submit your UB graduate application, you’ll be prompted to make your payment online by credit card or ACH through Nelnet.

U.S. citizens or current permanent residents may request a fee waiver through the application portal after completing the graduate application and uploading all required materials.

Step 2: Start your graduate application

Apply using UB’s online application system.

  • Create an account
  • Choose your program and term
  • Follow the instructions for the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Returning users: Log in to check your status or update your application
Application Deadline

Apply by August 1 for admission to the Arts Management MA. 

Admission is available for Fall Semester only.

🌍 International applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early to allow time for student visa processing, which can take 1 to 4 months depending on your country of origin.
