Asian Studies Faculty and Staff

We have inclusively integrated faculty from throughout the University at Buffalo since our program’s start in 1993. Our core faculty teach several of our courses for the major. Our Executive Committee develops curriculum and policy protocols for the program. Our Advisory Council governs the program by negotiating protocols and by engaging in Asia-related cross-disciplinary dialogues. Faculty at UB affiliated with research and teaching on Asia-related themes teach Asia-related courses and work throughout South Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Core Asian Studies Faculty and Staff

Several of our affiliated faculty members are directly associated with our program. They teach many of our core courses and actively seek opportunities to support undergraduate research. We invite you to contact our core faculty if you are interested in working with them as an undergraduate or graduate student specializing in Asian Studies.
