Graduate Student Association - Communication Disorders and Sciences - Speech Departmental Club (GSA-CDS-Speech)

All graduate students in the CDS speech-language pathology program are automatically members of GSA-CDS-Speech and are encouraged to join our NSSLHA chapter.

Academic events, volunteer opportunities, and social events are offered throughout the semester. Active members can expect to connect professionally with people in the CDS community, including students and faculty/staff. Events include: The Moving Day Walk for Parkinson’s Disease, Friendsgiving Potluck, Annual Teddy Bear Clinic, Annual UB CDS Conference, and the Graduation Party.

Graduate students can receive benefits offered by GSA, including conference funding towards ASHA, discount movie/sports tickets, and more! Check out the Graduate Student Association for more graduate benefits.

NSSLHA members receive ASHA member benefits including opportunities for NSSLHA scholarships, career support and access to ASHA journals.

NSSLHA- UB National Student Speech Language & Hearing Association

For the second consecutive year, the UB NSSLHA Chapter has been awarded the NSSLHA Chapter Gold Honors. UB's Chapter is among less than 70 chapters to be awarded nationally that demonstrate an outstanding effort to support National NSSLHA’s mission to inspire, empower, and support students in CDS. They have sought to unite undergraduate (SASH) and graduate (GSA) efforts to participate in professional service, advocacy, and educational events at UB and in Buffalo. Congratulations for all their hard work!
