Dr. Gail Seigel receives Scientific Research Partners Award

Dr. Gail M. Seigel received a Scientific Research Partners Award from the Fight for Sight Foundation on October 24th, 2022 in New York City.

The award is given in recognition of both her professional achievement and commitment to promising young researchers.  

Dr. Seigel currently chairs an annual grant review panel for the foundation that funds research grants for students, postdocs and faculty. Two of Dr. Seigel's students have received summer student fellowships from the foundation. Dr. Seigel herself received a grant-in-aid from the Fight for Sight foundation in 2005, an Award of Merit in 2006 and an alumni achievement award in 2017.  This latest award is a culmination of the long-term commitment and partnership with Fight for Sight to support and inspire vision research by funding promising young scientists early in their careers.
