The College is home to a vibrant and diverse academic community. With over 30 departments and programs spanning the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and mathematics there are countless opportunities for interdisciplinary study and research.

Undergraduate students can choose a major from a list of over 140 areas to study.

100+ graduate degrees (master's and doctorate) are available to students.

More than 650 students are pursuing combined degree programs.

500+ students have chosen to major in two or more programs in the College.

The College is dedicated to student success, providing 11,000+ hours of advising to guide students throughout their academic journey.

850+ hours of first-year success with our Success Coaches helping students adjust to college life.

The 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio gives the attention to students, with nearly 60% of our classes having 30 students or less.

Since 2020, 20+ students have earned prestigious awards, including the Goldwater Scholarship, Fulbright Grant, and Boren Scholarship.

Our Research and Faculty

Faculty in the College are internationally-renowned researchers, artists, and scholars; SUNY Distinguished Professors; prestigious grant recipients; and those who focus on incredible interdisciplinary teaching and advocacy work in a wide variety of disciplines.

The College boasts 450+ Tenure Track and 100+ Teaching Faculty, featured in 6,000+ media outlets for their expertise to research, policy and global discourse.

Our internationally-renowned faculty include 27 NSF CAREER recipients, 18 SUNY Distinguished and 6 SUNY Empire Innovation Professors.

Last year, our faculty received over $40 million in research funding to continue their essential work finding solutions to complex issues.

The College faculty has secured grants from the Mellon Foundation, NIH, NSF, NASA, and the Departments of Defense and Energy, to name a few.
