HI partners with other units at the University at Buffalo and organizations beyond our campus. Through these collaborative partnerships, HI seeks to "un-silo" the traditional boundaries of academia; fostering rich, dynamic, interdisciplinary interactions and conversations.

  • HNY Humanities Centers Initiative
    8/13/24
    The Humanities Centers Initiative (HCI) is an innovative statewide partnership between Humanities New York and a network of humanities centers based at nine New York State universities, including the UB Humanities Institute. Launched in 2012, the HCI supports humanities institutes, faculty, and graduate students in their commitment to public engagement.
  • Buffalo Humanities Festival Collaborative
    8/13/24
    The annual festival of ideas is organized in collaboration with multiple Buffalo/WNY universities and organizations, drawing together scholars from each school with the communities in which we live.
