Student Groups

We help support two Indigenous student groups on campus. The Indigenous Student Collective (UBISC) and American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).  Meetings are held in the Indigenous Studies Hub Social Room in Clemens 640.

Student Groups are also involved in increasing awareness on campus of current issues facing Indigenous peoples. In support of Orange Shirt Day the Indigenous Student Collective painted the Paint-a-Bull outside the Student Union and handed out information about the significance of Orange Shirt Day to Indigenous peoples. They also attend the National and regional AISES Conferences last hosting the conference in 2023.
