  • UB Chamber Singers

    UB Chamber Singers is a select ensemble of 8 voices, with one on a part SSAATTBB. It is a professional-level group meant for those who are serious about choral or solo singing as an element of their career. Members sing independently and with mature technique, and are individually coached on repertoire and performance practice. Typical repertoire includes advanced choral music for 4-8 voices from all eras. Members are required to participate in Choir to be eligible for Chamber Singers, and typically serve as section leaders in the choir. 
  • UB Choir

    UB Choir is a large ensemble typically consisting of 30-60 singers. It is a collegiate-level group meant for those with prior singing experience, preferably prior choral or ensemble singing experience. Typical members are interested in high level ensemble singing, learning to blend and grow their voices in a mature choral environment, and singing challenging repertoire. It is an auditioned group and members are required to have music reading ability. Typical repertoire includes advanced choral music in both 4 and 8 parts, and the group often collaborates with the UB Orchestra to sing large works. 
  • UB Chorus

    UB Chorus is a large ensemble typically consisting of 50-200 singers. It is an amateur group meant for those interested in having a first singing experience, learning more about music through song, or looking to explore their voices and ensemble singing. It is a non-auditioned group, but members are required to be able to match pitch and have a basic understanding of music. Typical repertoire is beginner to intermediate level choral music meant to provide a fun learning experience. 
  • UB Concert Band
    3/18/24
    The UB Concert Band presents a wide variety of music, spanning from Wagner, Mozart, and Strauss to Ellington and Zappa. Open to students of all majors without any audition requirements, the UB Concert Band presents two concerts annually in Slee Concert Hall. The ensemble rehearses twice weekly.
  • UB Symphony Orchestra

    The UB Symphony Orchestra, led by the esteemed conductor Jaman E. Dunn-Danger, stands as the premier orchestral ensemble within the Department of Music. Our ensemble is a vibrant community, drawing talent from all corners of UB’s diverse student body, faculty, and the wider community.
