About

UB Chamber Singers is a select ensemble of 8 voices, with one on a part SSAATTBB. It is a professional-level group meant for those who are serious about choral or solo singing as an element of their career. Members sing independently and with mature technique, and are individually coached on repertoire and performance practice. Typical repertoire includes advanced choral music for 4-8 voices from all eras. Members are required to participate in Choir to be eligible for Chamber Singers, and typically serve as section leaders in the choir.

It rehearses once per week for 3 hours on a schedule decided by its current members' availability. It performs several concerts per semester at various venues throughout Buffalo, engages in paid gigs, and has the opportunity to tour.

UB Chamber Singers' recent performances include venues in Buffalo, Niagara Falls (NY), Pittsburgh, and other Western Pennsylvania locations.

Auditionees will be asked to sing along with current members of the group, where available, to demonstrate blending ability.

NB: any potential auditionee must also be a member of Choir to be eligible to participate in Chamber Singers
