Claudia Brown and Jesse Downs Receive New York State Council on the Arts Grant

Associate Teaching Professor Claudia Brown and PhD in Composition graduate Jesse Downs received $5,000 in grant support from the New York State Council on the Arts for a joint choral program honoring the people of Ukraine. The UB Chorus and Choir will join in collaborative choral concerts with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo Choir, Mriya Ukrainian Women's Choir, and St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church Choir to perform choral music by a variety of Ukrainian composers. The concerts take place on Friday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo and on Saturday November 18 at 7:30 p.m. in UB’s Slee Hall.
