Bio: Zhe Wang is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University at Buffalo. A sociologist of family, development and migration, his research examines social change in the context of China's urbanization, with a particular focus on the migration behavior, institutional identity and spatial incorporation of migrant workers. His current research examines how family responsibilities shape migration decisions among Chinese migrant workers. More broadly, his research explores the intersections of family, migration and China's urbanization process.
