Bio: 
Ayrlia Welch is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University at Buffalo. She is interested in investigating inequalities in work, particularly in higher education. Her Master's research examined the link between collegiality and job satisfaction focusing on variations in race, gender, and academic rank. In other research, Welch is studying the social impact of faculty and the social support of siblings bereaved by suicide.
