Bio: Julia Schoonover is a PhD student and instructor in the Department of Sociology at the University at Buffalo. Her overall research interests center around societies understanding of human rights and the rights of refugee and immigrants. Julia is mainly interested in studying how we use public policy to shape our acceptance of our rights and the rights of others.
