Bio:
Kathleen D’Alfonso is an adjunct instructor in the Educational Opportunity Program and a 3rd year PhD student at the University at Buffalo. Kathleen is currently teaching Sociology of Deviance for the Department of Sociology. Her research interests are on the intersections of health, policy, and aging with a focus on crime, race/ethnicity, and families in the United States. Kathleen has a working paper centered on individual changes from young to mid-adulthood among US residents in self-reported health, the extent to which trajectory varies by race/ethnicity, and how the change of insurance status is associated with the change in self-reported health.
