Natalia Marte is a second year PhD student and also a second year law student. Her focus is on criminology law, policing, mass incarceration, and social inequality. Some of the questions that she is interested in answering are: what do communities of color consider community policing or good policing? are there alternatives to policing? what factors are necessary for an alternative to policing to be successful and fair to communities of color?
