Bio: Ting-Hui is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University at Buffalo. She had worked in the League for Persons with Disabilities in Taiwan, writing the teaching materials on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the Taiwanese government. Her master's thesis, "Be More of a Hindrance than a Help: Guide Dogs in Taiwan as an Instance" explores how visually impaired persons and their guide dogs confront many environmental obstacles in their daily life. 

Her current research interests lie in studying the sociology of health and the life course perspective. Her current work focuses on how health inequality develops and accumulates throughout the life course.
