Bio: Yu-An Chen is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University at Buffalo. She is interested in investigating how social and built environment influence health outcomes and pro-environmental behaviors of different socioeconomic groups. Her current research examines how overweight and weight perception vary by individual and neighborhood characteristics. In other research, Chen is studying urban/non-urban differences in socioeconomic status and pro-environmental behaviors.
