The Department of Classics offers graduate courses in Greek and Latin languages, Greco-Roman history, and classical archaeology. MA students choose one of three concentrations: classics (for students with an advanced level of Latin and Greek), ancient history (emphasis on ancient history and material culture) and the MA in Latin (for students with an advanced level of Latin who are preparing to teach Latin in secondary schools or to apply for a PhD program in classics).
