The inspiration for this work was President George W. Bush’s thumbs up when he landed on an aircraft carrier, after 9/11 and during the war in Afghanistan.
Jeff attended the University of Michigan, receiving a BFA and Teaching Certification in 1987; and the University at Buffalo, receiving an MFA in 1990. He currently serves as President of the Board of the Western New York Book Arts Center. Regarding his role in the arts, Jeff notes “I don’t make a lot of the artworks that you see. but I do make a lot of the artworks that you see, better.”
Regarding what inspired him to enter the field of education, he explains: “I think it was mostly my curiosity, and desire to help people investigate and realize their creations.”
