Recap of Spring Into Art 2025!

Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, the Center for the Arts hosted a lively showcase of the arts. Students exhibited, performed, and vended, an array of creative projects.

Each spring, the UB Center for the Arts hosts "Spring Into Art", a cross-disciplinary showcase of the departments of Art, Media Study, Music, Theater & Dance, with exhibition programming by the UB Art Galleries.

The Department of Art particpated in this event with:

  • Exhibition receptions for the BFA Senior Thesis group exhibition "Chrysalis", in the two Department galleries;
  • A student art sale, including students from the ART422: Entrepreneurship for Creators class, as well as students who applied to vend;
  • Live screenprinting t-shirt station, with a custom Spring Into Art design,  created by students: Emily Olearczy, Micky Pearson, and Gardner Astalos, with assistance from Print Media Technician Jeff Sherven; and
  • A fashion show, hosted by the "UB Blueprint" student organization, which included designers and models who are current Art students.
