Research highlight

My work centers on challenging ene-yne and olefin cross metatheses catalyzed by ruthenium carbene catalysts. These highly functionalized dienyl/olefinic cross products were also used in a variety of functionalization reactions to expand their synthetic utility.

At UB, its faculty and facilities have challenged me intellectually and improved my technical skills. I’ve also had the pleasure to mentor three undergraduate students within the Diver lab, which has contributed to our research projects.

Outside of research, I spend a lot of my time connecting with long-distance friends through Discord for movie/gaming nights. Ever since the pandemic, this has been a significant routine in our lives and shows no signs of slowing down.
