The UB Bird Feeder Cam is part of an ongoing research effort in the Department of Environment and Sustainability housed within the College of Arts and Sciences.
The live feed is being used to study multiple questions like songbird diversity on campus. The camera is located at the University at Buffalo's North Campus in Amherst, New York. It is adjacent to Bizer Creek, a waterway near one of UB's three solar arrays.
The feeder's most frequent visitors include species like European Starlings and Red Winged Blackbirds, but we have also seen appearances by Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers, White Breasted Nuthatches, Black Capped Chickadees, and American Goldfinches.
