For priority consideration for Fall admission of the following year, applicants are encouraged to apply by the first Friday in February. The department will review applications intermittently after the initial deadline and make any additional admissions decisions on a rolling basis.
Please note: The earlier an application is submitted, the more likely it is to be considered for any available financial assistance.
In addition to completing an application, applicants must gather and submit the following materials.
All documents must be attached to your online application.
Note: GRE scores are NOT REQUIRED for Master's applicants.
The graduate application fee is $75 U.S. (payable online via ePay or by check or money order made payable to the University at Buffalo). After you formally submit your application, you will receive an email with additional instructions for submitting your payment. Currently, UB accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
For questions about the graduate application process, please contact the Director of Graduate Studies.
