The Global Gender and Sexuality Studies Undergraduate Program promotes critical thinking and understanding of today's diverse, multicultural world. Our students are encouraged to think outside the box, embrace multiple approaches, and become engaged citizens.
Founded on a commitment to cutting-edge approaches to women's gender and sexuality studies, as well as queer and feminist theory, the undergraduate program provides a challenging and supportive environment in which to pursue a major, joint major, double major or minor degree.
Our students benefit from faculty expertise in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Education, the School of Architecture and Planning, and the Law School. Students choose from a wide range of course options to explore how gender intersects with other systems of difference like race, class or disability.
It's given me a new perspective in every part of my life. I'm excited to go to almost every lecture and seminar. So often, the classroom atmosphere is uplifting and empowering and safe.
