Comprising approximately 2,000 books and videos, the Samuel Friedman Library serves as the geographical heart of the Department of Jewish Thought. Featuring books related to all areas of the Jewish experience, the collection helps to foster the passion for inquiry that is central to the Jewish tradition. Many of our classes and events are held in the library, and it provides an intimate setting for students to get to know each other and their professors, which is integral to our mission.
The library is located in 708 Clemens Hall, UB North Campus, and is available by appointment only. Please contact us at jewish-thought@buffalo.edu if you require assistance or would like to borrow materials.
