Collaborative Electroacoustic Music at Buff State 4/18

On Thursday, April 18th, several DMS faculty members will be performing at Buff  State's Collaborative Electroacoustic Music Series. organized by Tomás Henriques.  Bill Sack, Cort, Jason Geistweidt, and Cort Lippe will perform. Details of the event can be found below:

Collaborative Electroacoustic Music Series: Concert VII 

April 18th 2024 – 7:30 pm Ciminelli Recital Hall, Rockwell Hall, Buffalo State University 

The 7th edition of the Collaborative Electroacoustic Music Concert Series features works of composers from the music department of Buffalo State University and composers of the University at Buffalo’s (UB) Media Study department, and Music department. The concert will include fixed media works and live performances by Ethan Hayden, Bill Sack, Jason Geistweidt, Cort Lippe, Tiffany Skidmore and Tomás Henriques. 

The Collaborative Electroacoustic Music Concert Series is hosted each spring semester by the program in Digital Music at Buffalo State University. The series fosters inter-institution artistic partnerships around the subject of composition and performance of contemporary electronic music. The collaboration includes activities of pedagogical and research nature on electronic music theory and practice, discussed in lectures and workshops. 

Ciminelli Recital Hall EVENT INFORMATION: * Admission: FREE • Doors open at 7:00pm • Performance starts at 7:30pm • Ciminelli Recital Hall is located on FLOOR 3 of Rockwell Hall at Buffalo State University. • Handicap accessible entrance with elevator to the recital hall located via the building entrance at parking lot I-30 (rear of Rockwell Hall off the Iroquois Drive entrance to campus off Elmwood Avenue) • FREE PARKING for this event will be in the general campus lots surrounding Rockwell Hall (Lots R-1, R-2, R-3 off the Rockwell Road entrance to campus; Lots I-30, I-32, I-33 off the Iroquois entrance to campus)
