Professor Robert Wason of the Eastman School of music is this spring's visiting slee professor. He will be teaching "Studies in Music Theory:Analysis and Performance", a course open to both ungergraduate and graduate students.

Professor Eric Huebner’s new Album, Désordre, documents his long-standing commitment to the music of Hungarian Composer György Ligeti. The album, recently released by New Focus Recordings and underwritten by the Classical Recording Foundation, is a tour de force of astounding technical prowess and brilliant musical insight. It features Ligeti’s first two books of piano etudes, along with his Horn Trio.

Michael Mwenso, a UB visiting professor of the arts and leader of Mwenso & the Shakes, an internationally acclaimed troupe of musical artists, will expand what was initially planned as a succinct and tightly programmed residency into a semester-long, socially distanced engagement with UB students.

On Monday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. in Baird Hall, the documentary "Composed" will be screened. This feature documentary brings together dozens of professionals from prestigious orchestras, symphonies, and music schools to discuss their personal journeys, and consider how best to achieve excellence in the face of enormous pressure.
