UB Choir Joins Harmonia Chamber Singers for Western New York Premiere of Bruckner’s "Mass in E Minor"

On Saturday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m., the UB Choir will join Harmonia Chamber Singers and a professional wind ensemble from the Buffalo Musicians' Association for a landmark performance of Anton Bruckner’s "Mass in E Minor." This concert marks the Western New York premiere of Bruckner’s 1882 edition and celebrates the 200th anniversary of his birth.

In addition to the Mass in E Minor, Harmonia Chamber Singers will perform:

  • Poulenc’s Un soir de neige
  • Bruckner’s Christus factus est
  • Works by Barton, Hagenberg, Quartel, and Parker

A total of 47 UB Choir singers will take the stage for the second half of the program, under the baton of Harmonia Chamber Singers director Robert Pacillo. UB faculty member Claudia Brown has prepared the UB Choir for this momentous collaboration.
