The 2023 edition of the Festival consisted of 10 concerts over June 6-11, 2023, featuring world premieres and other works by both participant and senior composers, performed by the resident ensembles and special guest soloists. Each day’s events were punctuated by seminars, lectures, masterclasses, and professional presentations.
June in Buffalo 2023 is dedicated to the memory of Robert Phillips (1981-2023), who served as the Managing Director of the Center for 21st Century Music from 2017 to 2023.
For complete artist and ensemble biographies, as well as concert listings, please download the program booklet.
In this edition of the festival, almost all participant composers' works were on separate programs from the senior composers' works. Please see individual program inserts for additional program notes and participant composer biographies.
