Join us to celebrate your language and linguistics projects! We invite undergraduate students to present brief presentations (10-15 minutes) on topics related to language in any way, with a focus on honors theses, term projects, independent studies, and collaborative projects.

Eligible Presentations

This celebration will be an in-person event. Students are invited to submit a short (300-word) explanation of their project in preparation for a 10-15 minute presentation, with 5-10 minutes available for discussion.

Projects that explore language in a wide range of ways are welcome. Honors theses, independent studies projects, term projections, and collaborations with mentoring students and faculty are encouraged. Topics can include things like linguistics, literary analysis, language education, and others.

How to Register

Email Dr. Colleen Balukas at cpbaluka@buffalo.edu with your project description (300 words or less) and the subject line "Student Language Research Celebration".   The deadline for submissions is Thursday April 28th, 2022, at 11:59 pm.  Confirmation of acceptance emails will go out Friday April 29th, 2022, and will include instructions for reserving a time for your presentation on Friday, May 6th.
