Isabella Sotgiu named Outstanding Senior

Sotgiu, who graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics and Italian, has served as a college ambassador for the department throughout her time at UB and as president of the UB Italian Student Association. She is a member of the University Honors College and Phi Beta Kappa and was inducted into the Gamma Kappa Alpha Italian Honor Society during her sophomore year.

Throughout her undergraduate career, Sotgiu earned a place on the dean’s list every semester while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. In the fall, she will continue her studies at UB’s Graduate School of Education, where she will pursue a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Outstanding Seniors are selected annually by each department in the College of Arts and Sciences to recognize graduating students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication promise and achievement during their time at UB.
