Collaboration for Language Integration: Spanish for the Health Professions

Our department has been actively collaborating with the UB chapter of the LMSA and the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Office of Medical Curriculum to seamlessly integrate Spanish language instruction into the Medical Education Program curriculum. This initiative aims to equip future healthcare professionals with essential language skills to better serve diverse patient populations.

Acknowledging Dr. Melissa McCarron’s Dedication

At the heart of this endeavor stands Dr. Melissa McCarron, Clinical Assistant Professor in the RLL department. Dr. McCarron’s unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have been instrumental in bridging the gap between language education and medical training. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her for making this collaboration a success.
