BA: Sociology and Criminology, 2025, John Carroll University

Bio: Devon is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University at Buffalo. His research examines the intersections of race, social inequality, community distress, public policy, and criminalization. He has research experience in content analysis, including examining how dominant media outlets portray conflict and events. At the core of his work is a commitment to uncovering overlooked social realities and exploring the dynamics of power and oppression in order to support more equitable communities.
