Bio:
Kathleen D'Alfonso is an adjunct instructor in the Education Opportunity Program and a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. Kathleen is currently teaching Sociology of Deviance and Introduction to Sociology at the University at Buffalo. Kathleen's research is focused on the role of health insurance coverage across the lifecourse. She has a working paper investigating whether the association between insurance status (being privately, publicly, or uninsured) and two dimensions of health varies by nativity and citizenship.
