Bio: Zaque Evans is a PhD student and graduate instructor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. His research interests are anchored by a political economy perspective and broadly focused into two camps: how, where, and why public money is distributed across space; the role of media in the framing and influencing of policy discussions. Much of his research is centered on the Buffalo/Niagara region, which he believes is a perfect laboratory for urban sociological and political economic inquiry. In addition to his academic work, Zaque has worked in broadcasting both regionally and nationally for over a decade.
