Natasha says that her favorite part of being a sociology major is the class discussions. In describing her classes, she said: “learning in and out of the classroom everyday has made me love sociology even more.” Natasha said she knew sociology was the right major for her because it “took me outside of my normal thinking in everyday life and placed me into a world that was bigger than myself."

Natasha has already enrolled in the sociology department’s combined BA/MA program. After graduating, she ideally would like to work at a university or research institute. Currently, she is doing an internship at a local retirement community and taking the research-intensive undergraduate courses that are the foundation of the BA-MA program. She said: “I am thrilled to be part of this program and cannot wait to delve even deeper into the world of sociology and social research.“
