Moriah Markowitz

Moriah Markowitz is a New York based dancer and choreographer. She received her BFA in Dance from the University at Buffalo in 2019, and 200 hr Vinyasa Yoga certification in 2021. Moriah has performed for Artist Simply Human’s showcase “The Dance Project” with choreographer Marissa Sciacca, “Zodiaque Dance Company” with choreographers Jenna Zavrel, Rich Ashworth, and Tom Ralabate, and also performed in the White Wave DUMBO Dance Festival with Danielle Lydia Sheather.

Moriah has showcased her choreography in multiple venues including but not limited to, The American College Dance Association, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, SaltCity Dance Festival, Peridance’s APEX Dance Festival, and DUMBO Dance Festival. As she found her love for choreography, she has recently began a New York based contemporary dance company titled “The Mo.vement” During any creative process, Moriah hopes to establish a safe space for dancers, choreographers, and audience members to find immeasurable amount of growth and inspiration.
