Tony holds a B.A. in dance from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo and a M.A. from the Ohio State University in Dance Education and Composition. In addition to owning The Dance Extension studios for three decades, he has performed, taught, and choreographed in many national and international venues, including being the U. S. representative at the International Dance Festival in Florence, Italy.
He has been on faculty at The Joffrey Ballet School New York, The International Ballet Hispanico NYC, Western Michigan University, SUNY Buffalo, The Ohio State University and New Dance Group Studios in NYC, as well as workshops and conventions regionally and nationally. He has judged and taught for Dance Masters of America, Dance Olympus and Dance Caravan and Terpsichore Dance Competition. He has choreographed industrials for The Limited Corp, Kaufmanns Dept. Stores, Macy’s, Lane Bryant Stores and Chases J.P.Morgan Corp., as well as Equity productions of Follies, On The Town, West Side Story, Pajama Game and Chicago, The Marvelous Wonderettes and Grand Night for Singing. Mr. Calucci is continuously teaching both nationally and internationally and is in high demand as a technique teacher and choreographer. Mr. Calucci was the artistic director of his own company The Collaborative Dance Project for 20 years; most recently he was an Assistant Professor of Dance and Musical Theater at Western Michigan University.
