Jessica Wolfrum, originally from Buffalo, New York, currently resides in Chicago, IL. Most recently, she was the Assistant Director and Choreographer under Lynne Formato for Drury Lane Theatre's regional premiere of "An American in Paris".
Jessica was the Dance Captain and appeared in the ensemble of the Chicago premiere of "Something Rotten!" at the Marriott Theatre. Other Marriott Theatre credits include Broadway's regional premiere of "Holiday Inn" (Dance Captain, Ensemble) directed and choreographed by Tony nominated choreographer Denis Jones, “Sweet Charity” (Carmen, Ensemble), "Oklahoma!" (Dance Captain, Ensemble), the Broadway First Regional Production of "Honeymoon in Vegas” (Ensemble) and "Singin in the Rain" (Lady in Green, Olga Mara, Ensemble). She has also performed as a principle dancer in The Lyric Opera of Chicago's "Carmen", choreographed and directed by Broadway director and choreographer Rob Ashford, "My Fair Lady" and "The Pearl Fishers”. In 2015, Jessica celebrated 14 years with River North Dance Chicago, under the direction of Frank Chaves, where she toured nationally and internationally. She is best recognized for two original works created and choreographed on her. The solo “Renatus”, choreographed by Nejla Yatkin, and the duet “The Mourning”, choregraphed by Frank Chavez. Jessica graduated cum laude in 2002 with a joint BA degree in Dance and Psychology from the University at Buffalo. Jessica was on faculty teaching ballet at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago for 10 years. She also taught ballet for various Chicagoland dance studios. Jessica was also in the touring commercials for “The Producers”, “The Wedding Singer”, and “Memphis”.
