Title: The Transparent Box: Building the Tesserae V6 Literary Research Site with Agentic AI
Speaker: Neil Coffee, Department of Classics
Series: Classics Department Talk Series
Time: 1:30-3:00 p.m. (40-minute talk)
Location: Greiner 134C/135C
Link: https://tesserae.caset.buffalo.edu
Tesserae finds intertextual parallels, meaning allusions, echoes and
borrowings, across a corpus of classical and premodern literature in
Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Coptic and English. This talk describes how the
sixth version of the site was built using agentic AI, what the method
made possible, and where it needed human correction.
