The Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria, has named Paul Vanouse, a professor in the Department of Art, as a 2019 Golden Nicas winner. The Prix Ars Electronica is the oldest award in the field of electronic, interactive art and computer animation and has been bestowed since 1987.
The Golden Nica was awarded to Vanouse in the category Artificial Intelligence & Life Art for “Labour”, a self-regulating art installation on the smell of work-related stress.
