• Assistant Teaching Professor Kalpana Subramanian, PhD '23, for Breath Worlds, through Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center/Buffalo Media Resources; Kalpana writes: "Breath Worlds explores the tensions between the imperiled and the empowering aspects of breath as a fundamental practice and paradigm for life. The project integrates sound works, moving image, poetics, and performance."
• Visiting Assistant Professor Elia Vargas (https://www.eliavargas.com) for The Heliotechnics/ Heliotechniques Institute for the Study of Solar Practices, through Wave Farm; Heliotechnics/Heliotechniques is a speculative media art project that explores new ways of thinking about energetic entities, such as petroleum, whale oil, electricity, and the sun to decenter anthropocentric representations of nature, culture, and technology.
