Chijioke Ngobili publishes journal article

Chijioke Ngobili, PhD student in the Department of History, published a journal article entitled “The ‘accidental ethnomusicologist’ and his lifelong fight for studies in African popular music: a conversation with John Collins at 80” in the Journal of Musical Arts in Africa in Dec. 2024. This article includes an interview with Professor John Collins, a UB alumnus (‘94) and pioneer scholar of African popular music studies, who has been living, performing and working in Ghana and other West African countries since 1969.
