  • Earth Sciences Graduates: Students with a BA or BS in Geological Sciences.
  • Science and Engineering Graduates: Applicants with degrees in other science or engineering fields are encouraged to apply but must meet these prerequisites:

Note: Students lacking these prerequisites may complete them during their master’s program, with guidance from their advisor. Additional coursework may also be recommended to align with your focus of study.

Degree requirements

To earn your MS in Geological Sciences, you must complete:

Graduate coursework (30 Credit Hours)

  • 24 formal course credits selected in consultation with your faculty advisor.

Thesis proposal

Original research and thesis
