An Environmental Justice Approach to Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The founding mothers of Mother Earth Literacies, LLC a small minority and women owned business in Buffalo based on the eastside of Buffalo will share their leaps towards entrepreneurship to support the needs of Black-led mission-based non-profits in Buffalo, NY. Through their research they have learned their context to respond to the needs of the local community.  In their business they focused on “what problem are we trying to solve?” Using environmental justice and sustainability management as their business model they have developed a people-first and justice-orientated business which is making a measurable impact on Black Buffalo led non-profits.
