The UB Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jaman E. Dunn, is comprised of nearly 90 UB students of a variety of majors; UB professors; and community members.

The Symphony rehearses and performs traditional and nontraditional orchestral literature, and gives one or two public concerts each semester. Membership is drawn from all schools and departments of the university, and members are eligible for free lessons with UB’s distinguished music faculty.

Audition is required and can be arranged by visiting https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/music/auditions.html

Membership in the UB Symphony Orchestra is open to all UB students, faculty, and community members by audition.

Auditions for placement and seating will take place during the first three scheduled meetings: August 29th, 31st, and September 5th. Students interested in auditioning should prepare 2-3 minutes of a piece that best showcases their ability.

Audition sign-up sheets are outside of 304 Baird. All auditions will take place in 304 Baird.
