  • The MS in Information and Library Science requires 36 credit hours. The MA in Music History or Music Theory requires 38 credit hours.
  • Up to six credits can be shared by both degree programs, saving you time and tuition.
  • Most students finish in about five semesters plus at least one summer session.
  • You must be accepted by both the Department of Music and the Department of Information Science to earn the dual degree.

  • MS in Information and Library Science: 36 credits
  • MA in Music History or Music Theory: 38 credits
  • Shared credits: Up to 6 credits can count toward both degrees
  • Typical completion time: 5 semesters and a summer
