Dylan was awarded the “Distinguished Dissertation Award” by the Association for Canadian Studies in the United States (ACSUS) at their 24th Biennial conference in Las Vegas.

Dylan’s winning dissertation, entitled “Gun Test: Evaluating Theoretical Explanations for Canada-U.S. Political Differences Through the Lens of the Politics of Gun Control,” was successfully defended in July 2015, and was judged to be the best dissertation in the field of “Canadian Studies” completed in the 2015-2017 period.
